Contributor License and Agreement

The POV-Ray Book Project site is intended to gather tutorials and information on the POV-Ray program and collect them in a centralized Internet location.

Contributions

By contributing work, you (the author) agree to:

Allow it to be reformatted and placed on the POV-Ray Book Project site, with an optional link back to the originating page (your page).
Allow people to use the information in accordance with the user's license.
Allow your information to be published, if it is chosen, in the printed compilation book. Note: Revenues from this book are not expected to exceed publishing costs. However, in the unlikely event that revenues exceed costs, the revenues will be used for future POV-Ray-related projects.
Allow the editors to make content, presentation, or any other changes deemed necessary, according to the following restrictions:
  • Presentation of the material--including fonts, color, organization, and example renderings--may be modified at the admin team's discretion. If the author does not approve of these surface changes, the author may contact the admin team at POVBook@hotmail.com for discussion.


  • Content of the tutorial cannot be modified without your (the author's) express permission. You may


    1. Choose to grant a "blanket permission" at the outset, which would allow the admin team to make changes based on user feedback and their own knowledge base, or
    2. Choose to grant a "case-by-case permission," which requests the admin team to allow you to approve any changes to the written content before updating the site. However, if you choose to allow updates on a case-by-case basis, and we (the POV-Ray Book Project admin team) do not receive a response within 7 days of a change request, the admin team reserves the right to make changes in red highlight with a note that it is not author’s work, until changes are approved.

Author Recognition

You (the author) may choose to be recognized on this site as a contributor, if you wish. With your permission, we will include any or all of the following information:

Your name (or nickname), e-mail, Web site, picture, and/or a short biography on our Contributor's Page.

Your name (or nickname) and/or link to your original tutorial on the POV-Ray Book Project page where your tutorial is published.

Your name listed in the final published version of the book as a contributing author.

We will NOT include any of the above information without your express permission. If any of your personal information is added to this site in error, or if, after granting permission, you wish to remove any or all of the information, contact us at POVBook@hotmail.com and all information will be removed as soon as we receive your e-mail.
